Plan With Me: June 2020 Bullet Journal Setup (Strawberries and Bicycles)

Hello blogosphere! Here is a showcase of my June 2020 bullet journal spreads. This month’s doodles are strawberries and bicycles. I thought that this ode to summer would be an adorable theme for my bullet journal. Although I live on the California coast and June is defined by fog, or “June Gloom” as we call it, I still decided to go with a summer theme.

I have officially been bullet journaling for two years! My first bullet journal theme was watermelons in June 2018, and I have improved a lot over the course of a couple of years…if I do say so myself! Although for some reason I don’t have access to my very first bullet journal setup, click the link to view my second bullet journal theme, daisies, here. Yikes…but at least I’ve improved!

I also just recently updated my blog design, as you can probably tell! I am honestly so happy with it and was feeling the need for a change! I am still keeping my signature silver arrow for dividing sections and website format, but have edited my headers.

Supplies

  • Bullet Journal: Archer and Olive Bullet Journal
  • Calligraphy Pen: Faber Castell Black Pitt Artist Pen
  • Markers: Crayola Supertips
  • Fineliners: Sakura Pigma Microns

These are just a few of my favorite stationary supplies to bullet journal with! Some people just use a dotted notebook and a black pen. Others use paint, calligraphy pens, markers, washi tape, and the list goes on! It’s honestly a personal preference whether to go “all-out” or to utilize a more minimalistic approach to bullet journal

Cover Page

My cover page features strawberry doodles and a bicycle on a hill on the left. The song “Strawberry Fields” by The Beatles reminded me of this month’s theme, so I included a quote.

Monthly View

This next spread is my monthly view. On the left is another bicycle doodle and a notes section.

Writing and Running Tracker

This spread features a writing tracker to the right and a running tracker to the left. I think that habit trackers are a valuable way to chart progress throughout the month. With habit trackers, you can choose whatever you want to chart and then keep track of it! Whether you want to keep an eye on fitness, academic/work-related, financial or personal goals, habit trackers offer a great way to stay motivated and organized! I find that if I keep up on my habit trackers, I’m much more likely to achieve my monthly goals.

Weekly Spread

The last spread I will be showcasing today is my weekly spread. It is quite simple and minimalistic, but I loved the way it turned out!

Here’s my cover page! I doodled some palm trees and did a quote in calligraphy. I can’t wait for summer!

Next is mymonthly log. I did a huge calligrahy piece of the word “May” and think it turned out really cool! I used both my tombow dual brush pens and crayola supertips to create this blending affect. I used my zebra midliners and white gelly roll pen to finish it off and  added some black and grey shadows to make it pop!

This is my mood tracker and reading tracker! I decided to make my mood tracker simple and just drew in some plain square boxes. But formy reading tracker, I drew a big palm tree in the middle and put in a little box to show my reading goals for that month.

And lastly, here is my first weekly spread. The only day that is filled in is Sunday, which is unusual because usually everything in my bullet journal is completely filled out! On the bottom right-hand corner I have an events section and a small palm tree doodle.

Plan With Me: April 2019 Bullet Journal Setup

IMG-5370

Greetings bookish friends! Today I will be showing you my bullet journal plan with me for April! I decided to do blue butterflies and sparkles this month.

Here’s my cover page! Since the butterflies are so intricate and detailed, I only drew a couple. On the left side, I have a quote. I wasn’t sure if I could pull of this theme well, but it ended up looking great! 🦋✨

This is my monthly calendar page! I doodled a couple of butterflies around and it and did some calligraphy with a little bit of blending on the upper right page. I accidentally drew some extra yellow dots, so I just wrote the days of May, the next month.

Next I have my mood tracker! I made a giant butterfly and am going to color it in this month. Each section of the butterfly represents a different day. On the right page is a chart to track how much reading, writing, and blogging I’m doing in April. I want to try to read 7 books this month, write 30 pages, and make 4 blog posts.

And lastly, here is my weekly spread! I wanted to keep it simple but also added some butterflies and sparkles for some detail.
